The expansion of patients’ access to medical records

Dear Patients,

You may have seen information in the media about the expansion of patients’ access to medical records.

North Central London Integrated Care System (ICS) have advised that general practice do this on an opt-in basis to ensure information governance for all our patients and safeguarding of our most vulnerable.

We believe that giving people access to their own records in principle is a good thing and can improve people’s engagement and understanding of their health. We are keen to do this in a safe manageable way.
